Prior to your appointment

Prior to having your lashes applied there are a few things you can do in preparation to ensure you get the most out of your allotted appointment time:

• Please remove all makeup, including foundation, eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, eye creams and eye serums.

• Shower and wash your hair before you arrive, (you will not be able to get them wet for 48 hours)

• Do not curl your lashes on the day of your lash application.

• Do not receive chemical treatments to your lashes such as tinting and perming within 48 hours prior to your lash application appointment.

• Consult with your physician prior to your lash application appointment if you are pregnant, taking medication, suffer from any medical conditions or allergies, or recovering from any medical procedures.

• Remember: To maximize your time with your lash stylist, come to your appointment with clean eyes free of makeup!

After Care

During the first 48 hours, follow these guidelines:
Avoid showering or exposing your Eyelash Extensions to water, heat, sauna, steam and friction. This allows adequate time for bonding. If you must shower, do not take a hot shower or get your lashes wet and limit your time in the shower, as hot steam will affect your lashes.
Be gentle with your lashes, and avoid rubbing your eyes.
Do not apply any eye cosmetics or skin care products to your lashes or your eyelids.

After 48 hours:
Cleanse your lashes and eyelids daily to maintain healthy and beautiful lashes.

It is very important to keep your lashes clean. Failure to do so can result in irritation and possible infection.

Remove eye makeup carefully using an oil free foaming cleanser.

Apply the foaming lash shampoo to the lashes using gentle, upward strokes and rinse well with tepid water.
Avoid using waterproof cosmetic products on or near your eyelashes. Groom your lashes daily using the Lash Styling Wand to style your Eyelash Extensions into place.

Lash infills should be booked every 2-3 weeks.

Please remove all traces of mascara from the lashes before your infill. It can be removed during the appointment but this will affect the treatment time.

Frequently  Asked   Questions

What are lash extensions?
Lash Extensions are a glamorous new way to extend the length and thickness of natural eyelashes, and are a practical, convenient and beautiful alternative to the daily use of mascara.

How are they put on?
Eyelash extensions are applied with low irritant medical grade adhesive, individually, lash by lash, to your natural lash, never touch the skin.

How long do they really last?
The strong, long-lasting glue holds the lashes in place for the natural life cycle of the lashes, but results will very depending on how you look after your new lashes.
As well as natural lashes fall out every 6-8 weeks, taking the extensions with them.

When should I get them refilled?
On average we lose 5-6 lashes daily and natural lashes have an approximate 45 day life cycle. We recommend for you to come in for a fill every 3-4 weeks.

Can lash extensions damage natural lashes?
When applied properly, lash extensions will not damage natural lashes.  Our application technique allows natural lashes to grow and thrive with extensions.  This technique requires several different “separation” steps during the application process so each extension is adhered to a single natural lash in order to prevent interruption of the lash growth cycle.

Can mascara be used with lash extensions?
Mascara is typically not needed with lash extensions.  Mascara should only be used when a touch-up is drawing near.  Water-soluble mascara can be worn; however constant use of mascara may shorten the lifespan of lashes.  Waterproof mascara is not recommended for use, as it will dissolve the bond with the lashes.

How do I prepare for my appointment?
Always arrive with clean, make-up free lashes. Also, please do not perm curl your lashes prior to your appointment.

Following lash tinting, how long should I wait to apply lashes? Will lash tinting cause any problems with the extensions?
Tinting before extensions are applied is not a problem. The extensions can be applied the same day as long as the lashes are clean and dry after the tinting process.

Volume Lashes FAQ

Volume Lashes 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D

What does 2D-6D mean and how does it differ from the classic Semi-Permanent Lashes?
Volume Lashes are still Semi-Permanent Lashes, as they are adhered to the individual natural lashes.  The difference is classic Semi-Permanent Lashes are adhered to your natural lashes, one extension to one natural lash. The "D" stands for dimension.  The number stands for the amount of extensions applied to each natural lash.  2D is two extensions adhered to one natural lash, and 3D is three extensions to one natural lash, 4D is four extensions to one natural lash, 5D is five extensions to one natural lash, and 6D is six extensions to one natural lash.

Is this method safe/healthy for my natural lashes?
Yes!  The eyelash extensions used for the Volume technique are much thinner in diameter therefore very little weight is added to your lashes, including the adhesive.
How do I know if I am a candidate for Volume Lashes?
Consult the lash stylist for a consultation!  Most people are able to get at least the 2D volume effect while some are able to get up to 6D.  This is based upon the health of your natural lashes, their diameter and length.

Can I get more length with this new Volume technique?
The focus is on VOLUME with this technique.  While you may get a few millimeters longer than your natural lashes, it is important to not focus on length with this method as the longer lashes are, the sparser they may appear at the base.  Think of a forest of pine trees versus a garden full of bushes.  The short bushes are much denser than the pine trees, as the pine trees are tall and lean.  If the extensions are longer, more weight is added to your natural lash and can cause premature shedding.

Does this process cost more?
Yes it does because this process takes more hours to apply and more lashes.  The great thing is clients will be able to extend their fillin time from 2-3 weeks with classic extensions to 3-5 weeks with Volume Lashes.

Can I try the Volume Lashes with my current eyelash extensions?
It is recommended to begin with a fresh new set, but you may be  able to try a few Volume Lashes within your current set.  This is not  recommended at our salon as most clients have extensions  of .15  diameter, which are thicker than each individual Volume Lash.

The Eyelash Extensions Procedure

Prior to the application, your stylist will conduct a thorough

consultation allowing you the opportunity to help design your

customized lash look. In addition, your stylist may ask questions

about your health and lifestyle to ensure Eyelash Extensions are

right for you.

During your Lash Extension application, you will comfortably

recline with your eyes closed. The application is painless and wonderfully relaxing

and rejuvenating. Clients typically fall asleep then awaken to longer, thicker,

darker and more voluminous lashes.

During the application of Eyelash Extensions, your stylist will isolate an individual natural lash, then; she will expertly bond one or more eyelash extensions to one natural lash. This technique creates a seamless look and feel as if these eyelash extensions were your own.
